Another Briked G75

I know there's a lot of post about bricked notebooks who update their BIOS. I'm here just to ask some questions and cry a little. First, my note is stucked in the black screen, but the backlight of keyboard is responsive to Ctrl+Home function, the lights indicators works, so i don't know if this is a full brick.

To the questions. First, the Ctrl+Home+Power combination resets the BIOS defaults or just enter in EZFlash ?
Second, is there any internal batery in G75 ? I opened the HD section and couldn't find anything.
Last, holding the power button ,after removing the battery, clear the CMOS ?

Now the "cry" section. Really, i'm almost giving up to this. I brought the note outside my country (Brazil), and choosed ASUS to not have a headache with problems because i trusted the brand. But now, after less than a month this happens.
If this is a problem with notebooks who were updated with WinFlash (like me), and after so many problems with this, why the WinFlash is still in the downloads sections ?

I'm now waiting for a response of ASUS support center to see if there's any assistence in my country (i don't think so).

1 less client of ASUS.

Sorry if i talked any crap. I'm too frustrated. 1500 dollars in a black box.

If you live in the US, you will recieve your chip faster than me. You can take out the bios chip very easily with a heat gun like in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbZ2STqt0Sg. I suggest covering the surroundings of the chip with aluminium paper just for safety measures. Post results in either cases.
I also hope it works, tired of having my G75 just laying there without being able to use it.

Try the (power + control + home) button combination, if that does not work... welcome to the club.

Jihilian, were you able to test this eBay chip ? I bought a new mobo and it did not work either, it reacts just like when I bricked my original mobo. I hope it's not the video card or anything else. My question is, if the GPU has gone bad, should the notebook do some sort of warning sound like saying no GPU detected ? I read that bios tend to have different sound beeps for different problems.

Not yet, still on his way (probably more 20 days or more).
Have you tried unistaling the GPU and using the one from i7 (4XXX) ? If isn't the MB, this should work.
I don't know if G75 has a buzzer installed (i don't think so) so won't beep. Try the Ctrl+Home combination and see if shows video output, try with a external monitor too.

ThIs isn't exactly like my kayboard, but the physical key layout appears to be the same. & one can find the "Home" key in the upper-left of the number pad section on the right.
"If it moves, salute it. If it doesn't move, pick it up. & if you can't pick it up...paint it RED & BLACK !!"

Yes, that is the exact keyboard that at least I have. I don't know if there are another type of keyboards designed for languages such as chinese, japanese, korean or spanish which could vary the key prints but not much the layout.

THE BIOS CHIP FROM THE SECOND SOURCE ARRIVED AND IT WORKED !

I also managed to dump the file from the chip so:
FLASH THIS FILE THAT WILL REVIVE YOUR G75VW. FLASH IT WITH A PROGRAMMER (YOU WILL NEED TO UNSOLDER THE CHIP, PROGRAMM IT AND THEN RESOLDER IT).
http://rapidgator.net/file/e1363487a63600b69776984a75e60780/DefinitiveUnbrickG75VWBIOS.bin.html

Hope it helps millions of G75VW owners as it worked for me.

Hey Gido, Just wanted to thank you so much for this file. I have a bricked Asus G75VW which is not under warrenty. Took it for an RMA and they said that it needs a new board and video card. I knew they were full of Sh*t since the only thing i did was reset to optimized defaults before it went black screen on me. Anyway i downloaded the file , took it to a shop . they unsoldered the bios, programmed it with your file and solder again. Viola its working ! thank you so much and for everyone who has the same issue , i guarantee this will work, i tried everything !
