AMD vs Intel?

Howdy folks,

Switching over to ASUS from an Alienware laptop that has been an absolute nightmare for the last few years. What do you see as the tradeoffs between AMD and Intel for ROG Strix SCAR laptops, especially around reliability? I'm leaning towards a 17" AMD X3D but could be convinced otherwise.

Any other models or configurations that are known to have problems?

Simply put, AMD makes the most sense for gaming right now. Ask yourself your main use case for the laptop and then make an objective decision.
