I ordered a g55vw-rs71 from sears and was super excited looking at the pc stats for the price.
But now after reading this forums and noticing a lot of people have many issues with this laptop and things not working etc...
So I am just asking if somebody could tell me how this laptop runs and explain the 3d vision thing to me please, I am really excited and hope my laptop works great and does what I want it to do. It should be arriving tomorrow,

Thanks to anyone who clarifies things in advance

It actually works just fine...just follow all the instructions in the sticky thread at the top and you will be good to go unless the G55 has some faulty issues then yea you might have some trouble but you can still exchange in within a certain amount of time for a new one..so no worries...

This is a support forum, so people only come here if they have issues. This is a small proportion of the actual G55 or G75s we sell, as you would't bother to visit if it's working fine 😉

3D Vision is an Nvidia technology that allows you to see games and Blu-ray content in 3D. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-main.html

Some G55 models have 3D Vision, which include a 120Hz LCD which is specifically qualified to be 3d Vision capable, and we bundle 3D Vision active shutter glasses in the package as well. Unfortunately the RS71 you bought does not include this, it has a higher resolution FullHD display instead: Display: 15.6" FHD (16:9) Super Clear Matte-Type Screen (1920x1080). You can still get 3D Vision by buying an external monitor like the VG278 and plugging that into the HDMI output as the GTX660M graphics card inside is still capable of providing it to any compatible monitor.
