XG32UCDS not running pixel cleaning when in standby

Hello, I recently purchased an XG32UCDS, but it doesn't appear to automatically run Pixel Cleaning when the monitor has been in standby for 5 minutes.

I don't see any firmware updates available over at https://rog.asus.com/us/monitors/27-to-31-5-inches/rog-strix-oled-xg32ucds/helpdesk_download/ so I don't think I'm behind.

The OLED Care FAQ says this:

> The activation of the pixel-cleaning function is influenced by the selected
power setting.
> In Standard Mode, pixel cleaning initiates automatically five minutes after entering Standby mode, experiencing No Signal, or when in Sleep Mode/Shutdown.

But I don't have a "Standard Mode" to select under my power settings, just "Performance Mode" (which I have selected), and "Power Saving Mode" (which is greyed out and unable to be selected).

I also turned the Pixel Cleaning Reminder off, because even when set to 8 hours, it was popping up every 20 minutes.

Do any of those things prevent OLED Care from running automatically while in standby? Is it possibly something else? Would really prefer not to have to run it manually every day.

I got it to run automatically with the monitor off (not just on standby), and the 8 hour reminder enabled, and my PC set to turn the screen off after 1 minute, sleep after 15 minutes, and never hibernate.

Didn't run automatically overnight with the monitor on standby, the 8 hour reminder enabled, and the same PC settings as my previous comment.

Hi, I recently bought this monitor on sale and I'm seeing the same problem you're complaining about on several forums. The screen doesn't clean automatically and sometimes the power-off detection doesn't work either. I've also noticed there isn't much information about whether or how to update the firmware for this monitor.

I hope that's not my case, but just in case. An update from the Asus team could be really useful.

Regards.

Yeah, I'm still not having much luck.

Tried allowing my PC to go into hibernation mode overnight last night, but that wasn't sufficient to trigger the auto clean either. So far the only thing that's worked is turning the monitor all the way off, which is sort of annoying for my setup. Getting at the physical button is awkward.

Going to try just turning my PC off entirely tonight, see if that'll run it. Would prefer not to have to do that either, though.

Turning my PC off entirely overnight was enough to get the pixel cleaning to run automatically. I didn't need to manually power off the monitor.
