The firmware update is now available for download. Once done with the firmware update, perform a reset, then a pop-up will allow you to switch to standard mode.
Download site: https://rog.asus.com/us/monitors/32-to-34-inches/rog-swift-pg32uq-model/helpdesk_bios
Direct file download: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/LCD%20Monitors/PG32UQ/ASUS_PG32UQ_FW_V034_and_update_SOP.zip
Alternatively, you can change the setting manually in the UI as well.

It's officially been a month. Anything going on? I can't access BIOS and see boot sequence on this monitor because the power saving option makes it so slow to wake up that the graphics card ignores it during bootup.

The new v034 firmware solved the issue. With it, you can disable the deep sleep state, which fixes almos every problem regarding the video signal.

Yeah but that's for a different model monitor with the same problem. Mine is XG279Q and needs the same firmware solution, I called it over a year and a half ago. No monitor today should be released without these sleep options.
