Wanted to create this thread to discuss the new 240hz QD-OLED display announced for early 2024.

Expected release: Q1 2024

Specs:

4K (3840 x 2160)

240hz, 0.03ms GtG

G-Sync

HDMI 2.1

DP 1.4 (???)

KVM Switch

----

I still don't understand why ASUS doesn't go for DP2.1, but outside of that I'm happy they added a KVM switch for their S-tier monitor.

I am so excited. I still game on PG32uqx. I have tried literally every HDR gaming monitor. Nothing comes close to the UQX.I thought the  Alienware 34 qd-Oled would take top spot. Nope; returned after after two weeks. Fingers crossed this new 32 OLED will be the best HDR gaming monitor to date! Fingers crossed!

Yeah without HDMI 2.1 I would not pay the premium price for the PG32UQX, but the same thing can be said for this new PG32UCDM they've announced. HDMI 2.1 only supports 4K 120 Hz, so the other 120 Hz go to waste with HDMI.... DisplayPort 1.4 only just has the bandwidth for 240 Hz @ 4K, so HDR 10bit has to be compressed again, which is again a waste. For these new products they really should start using DP 2.1...
