ROG Swift PG278Q: Time Until Availability in the US?

When I looked at the ROG Swift page on the ROG Site it said to be available in the NA in early August, which goes along with what MarshallR@ASUS said. But now that I have taken another look at that exact same page, there seems to have been a ninja edit of some sort and it is saying that the monitor will be available by the end of August. Other sites have reported to be as long as early September. Can we get a solid time frame? I've been holding out on buying a new monitor. JJ @ ASUS PCDIY has been constantly been saying the same words over and over for months (2 more weeks, stay tuned very soon for more info).

here they have it as unconfirmed august 21'th.
but you have to remember it takes time for a boat going from one part of the world to the next, and for a container to go from one place to the next.

And now its august 23 and still no retailer has them for sale. WTF ASUS. Just please, take my money and ship me a new monitor.

Just picked mine up from my local fry's this morning while still in my PJs once i knew they had a few in stock. No dead or lit pixels anywhere so i'm a very happy camper.

These pics were posted yesterday morning on the OCN forums and i quickly got into my car without even a second thought once i saw Las Vegas frys had stock. I was thinking the same thing seeing as i was monitoring the newegg product page ever since it went up but i prefered to get it asap and locally for easy returns in case of problems 😄

Edit: Don't know how close you are to San Diego, but someone on another forum posted that Frys San Diego has 3 in stock.

The Tiger Direct stock that was up on Friday was legit. Just confirmed its being shipped on Monday.
