I cannot agree. I have 2 of these monitors and I'm very pleased with both. 144mhz G-Sync goodness at 1440 is just too enjoyable for me to worry about an "issue" that I need to run a test on to see. While gaming I just haven't been bothered...which is likely the case for the majority of users given the relatively small number of folks here discussing the issue. My wife enjoys her monitor as well. We have no back bleed or dead pixels so otherwise the monitors are doing everything they promised. I feel bad for the folks that are either sensitive to, or obsessed by, the pixel inversion issue that prevents them from enjoying the monitor. But based on my own experience, and that of many others around the net, I certainly wouldn't advise anyone to "stay away." For most folks, they'd just be missing out.

Yeah, I know, I'm gettin' paid big bucks to say this 😉

Well, for sure there is a huge issue with my monitor, one that other people seem to also have. I am not saying it's widespread but still there seems to be an issue that's reproducible on a lot of these and i am not talking about a problem only noticeable from a test, my monitor has had unreadable text for two weeks (problem magically disappeared a few days ago) and very irritating artifacts / flickering when gaming

The phrase that springs to mind when reading your posts is "I'm all right Jack".
You seem to have a couple of monitors that are 100% ok. I'm really glad for you, however you don't really know because you are too lazy/scared to check them with easily available tools on the net.
From reading your comments you have absolutely no compassion for those numerous people who have spent ~$800 and received a duff product.
Perhaps you might keep your smug comments to yourself in future and let those who "DO" have a problem converse with others about their predicament.
I haven't received my monitor yet but feel for those who have been bitterly disappointed by the lack of QA, zero response/admission from Asus and poor after sales support considering the premium price of the monitor.

One last thing; I don't think that 11 pages of threads on this monitor, the majority with problems, is a "relatively small number of folks".

You need to relax. Problems or no problems with your $800 monitor, there is no reason to getting your panties all bunched up.

First off, this is NOT a trouble shooting thread. Did you even take the time to read the thread title? This is about the back order situation. This thread topic has NOTHING to do with issues some folks are having with the monitor. This thread is about where and when folks may be able to purchase the monitor in the USA as it has been hard to find. Now, if some people who have had issues with their monitor want to come on this thread and post about off topic, negative experiences that is their right. As it is my right to come and post positive counter experiences as they relate to the buying decision. On the other hand, if I had stepped into a trouble shooting thread and said "Hey, my monitor works fine" I would get your point and that could be offensive. But that is not the case here in THIS thread.

Second, even 30 users on 50 pages of threads still isn't statistically significant. Sorry. My opinion. Given that every monitor produced since launch is sold out would suggest that thousands upon thousands of monitors have been sold. And we know that folks without problems rarely post. And that those that do have issues find their way here. So I'm really not too shocked about what I'm seeing.

Do I think the problems folks are having suck? ...sure do. Totally blows. Would it be better if no one experienced a single issue? ...sure would be. Do I think the monitor is bleeding edge in its feature set and likely the root cause of a higher % of issues?...absolutely. BUT, I'm not going to warn folks away from this monitor based on the postings here and the two great experiences I've had thus far. You seem to be confusing my comments about trouble free experiences and the fact that I don't want to warn people away from buying this monitor with the concept that I do not have sympathy for those with issues....and that's not true. I'm sure it sucks. I've been in the same situation over the years myself. However, within the context of the TOPIC of THIS thread, my comments have merit...even if they offend you because you are disappointed with your experience. Not everyone is experiencing the same issues.

Weird that demand in Germany, Switzerland and Austria is close to none. Pretty much any retailer around has them in Stock.

BTW, I had to get 3 replacement monitors until I got one that was working halfway . which only lastef a few days, after that bluriness arrived and stayed. ASUS customer service is the worst I´ve seen so far and shelling out 800€ for a monitor that does not even offer an on-site repair or replacement (i knew that before but still thought that for 800€ I would receive a quality product) is something that I will not every do again.

While it works this monitor is awesome. They question is how long it works. Talked to the 3 biggest retailers in germany and all of them confirm that they have a rather huge amount (compared to other manufacturers) of service claims with this monitor.
Yet, not a single ASUS employee sees fit to at least drop a line here to acknowledge the existence of a problem in the lineup.

Well I just got one of the supply received by Microcenter today and it looks to have this pixel inversion problem everyone is talking about.

Mft Sept 2014

Opened a support ticket and I'll try to post any updates. I'd rather not RMA it if its not going to be fixed. For now I can live with it in 120Hz ULMB mode, but I'd rather not settle on a $800 monitor.

Let us know if you get it fixed. So far i have not met anyone to receive a 100% fixed device. Maybe this is an issue with the Gsync module replacing the standard inverter - but I really wonder if there is a 100% perfect display out there. My issues are very obvious and I did not need any tests to show them. Text is almost unreadable and the flickering is terrible.

I have my 4th monitor now and that one started with the same problems after 2 weeks of use. So honestly, my guess would be that each and every single Monitor has the same issues out there - some to a lesser degreee probably.

By the way, for giggles I went to the web page suggested.

I did not get any flickering. I shrank the window to 3/4 screen size and moved it around. Still no flickers. I guess I don't know what problem I'm supposed to be seeing. This was 144mhz.

Damn so you don't get any flicker? I have pixel inversion.....it flashes when I move the box....So some of these ROG SWIFT's are working right.....Now do I get a refund and or RMA this thing? I'm not paying $800 for a monitor that doesn't work right....also get pretty bad screen door look when I move around fast in games.
