ROG Strix XG27UCG will not go into 4K mode on Xbox Series x

Has anyone encountered this issue?

I just got a Strix XG27UCG and I cannot get it to go into 4K mode on my Series X using the HDMI cable that came with the Xbox.

4K mode works fine on my PC via display port. it also works via USB-C on my Laptop.

If I go to video fidelity and overscan I can set the override to HDMI and then I get at least 1440p

But if I turn on 4k I get:

Sorry, you TV is telling us it won't support that resolution

On auto detect the best I get is 1080p All video modes are greyed out accept for Allow YCC 4:2:2

I managed to figure this out, I forgot I had an HDMI audio extractor in-between the Xbox and monitor.

I needed that since my old monitor did not have an audio out jack.

I was able to go direct from Xbox to Monitor then use the Headphone out jack on the monitor to get audio.

Leaving this post in case someone else runs into this issue though I doubt it.

Hey, I'm glad you got it fixed. I guess Series X is limited to 4K @ 120hz right?

Can you please check on your PC with same cable and monitor? I can only get 4K @ 120hz from HDMI 2.1 port of my 3090 to XG27UCG HDMI port. I thought since monitor has HDMI 2.1 port I should be getting 4K @ 160hz or even @144hz but I can not select more than 120hz in Nvidia settings. From DisplayPort it's correct at 4K @ 160hz but then it flickers randomly after few minutes.

I tried with same cable and GPU to my TCL C755 and I can get 4K @ 144hz with 10bit colors no problem, but XG27UCG HDMI is limited to 4K @ 120hz. I don't know if it's just my panel or I'm missing something here.
