ROG Strix XG27ACMG and Xbox Series S

Hey I just recently purchased the ROG Strix XG27ACMG.  When I use it with my PC(Display Port), everything seems ok.  Auto switches between SDR and HDR(games) when as it should.  With my Xbox Series S ( HDMI 2.1 ) , It will not display HDR when I play games.  I have Auto HDR set on the Xbox. 1440p, 120hz etc.. Try enabling it on the monitor, It will not switch to HDR. Option is greyed out.

Please assist.

Thanks.

1) Monitor Inputs:

Ensure your Xbox Series S is connected to the correct HDMI 2.1 port on the monitor. Some monitors have multiple HDMI ports with varying bandwidth capabilities.

2) HDMI Cable Check:

While you mentioned trying a different cable, ensure it's a certified high-speed HDMI 2.1 cable that supports 48Gbps bandwidth.

3) Xbox HDR Settings:

Check Auto HDR Settings: Verify that Auto HDR is enabled correctly in the Xbox Series S settings.

4) Test with Other Sources:

Try connecting a different HDR-capable device (like a Blu-ray player) to the same HDMI port on the monitor to see if HDR works as expected.

5) Monitor Firmware:

Check for any available firmware updates for your XG27ACMG. Updating the monitor's firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.

6) Contact ASUS Support:

Provide them with the specific model number of your monitor and a detailed description of the issue. They might have specific troubleshooting steps or even identify a known compatibility issue.

7) Xbox Support:

If the issue seems to be specific to the Xbox, contact Microsoft support for further assistance.
