PQ279Q - I am on my 4th monitor and the same issue is on them all.

I think ALL these monitors have this problem with scuffs on the screen caused by the foil card stuck to the screen in the top left corner. The below image are all scuffs under the foil card.
Why would Asus risk damage by doing this? I will go through 20 monitors if I have to. All the pics below are from under the card. The rest of the monitor is perfect. A bright light identifies these marks immediately.

There are 2 scuff marks on my first monitor

I was thinking of buying one of these before seeing this. Damn.

I just purchased a ROG PG258Q in the UK and it is going back because the stickers left a mark on the bezel thankfully my screens ok but the bezel has been marked from the foil sticker. I have wiped it down quite hard and it aint coming off and the photo i have with the flash on really highlights this.

Why would i want a £499 devalued monitor where i have to legally disclose these things in a sale? And i live 11m from the nearest return point too thanks for that after this im probably buying the Alienware 240hz version because thanks to this thread i now know its not an isolated issue.

If someone from Asus would sit down and ask themselves do we need to have stickers that go in the bin? It is just 100% wasteful and should be scrapped.

I just got a PQ279Q and it has no scratches or scuffs. Date on the sticker on back of the monitor says October 2017.

The OCD in me also was very upset to find very minor scratches in my panel (can only see them with a black screen and a flash light) I purchased last year, however Amazon gave me a 200 dollar refund so I ended up keeping it. It's a pain in the rear to get one with no BLB, Pixels, firmware, Yellow than find out it has scratches. I agree the stickers have no place being on the monitor in the first place.

On a glossy screen you can use something like Displex but it won't work on matte screens and I probably wouldn't use it on anything unless the scratches are obtrusive. You risk creating a spot with a different sheen than the rest of the display.
