Pixel clean / refresh on asus rog strix 27” 1440p oled gaming monitor (xg27aqdmg)

Hey all,

This is my first OLED monitor and I am a little confused about pixel cleaning/refresh. Some sites say this model does it automatically when off or in standby other sites say it doesn't. Does anyone here know this answer?

I turn my monitor off whenever I am not using the PC. Should I leave it on standby?

According to the manual, pixel cleaning activates automatically when you shut down your pc.

Let the monitor power cable plugged in.

When pixel cleaning is active, the ROG logo on the front of the monitor will flash orange.
