I have DSC turned on but It won't switch to RGB Full It's missing @ 144hz in Nvidia Control panel.

You are hitting the display port bandwidth limit. Dropping the frames to 98hz will give you full color range, any thing faster will sacrifice color depth to push more frames. I'm running my PG27UQ at 98hz because of that.

Not true. With DSC I should be getting 144hz@4K with RGB FULL 10 bit go figure.

Hows this monitor version compared to the XG438Q?

I'm still in a tug of war between Dells 43" or Asus 43"..... I do understand that Dell 43" is only @60Hz 4K and Asus 43" 120Hz 4K, but I'm willing to sacrifice gaming @60Hz 4K because I see more and more negative reviews than positive with The Asus PG43UQ.

As far as I understand it, only certain 2000-series cards and the new 3000-series cards include the DSC specification to their DisplayPort implementations. Your 1080 card doesn't support DSC, regardless of which drivers you install.

This appears to be correct.

I am unable to get 98 Hz with 10 bpc to stick - top out at 80 Hz using a 1080Ti, with supplied 8k DP 1.4 cable. Can anyone confirm that they can hold 98 Hz with 10 bpc with screenshot? GpuZ confirms I have the full DP 1.4 bandwidth in play (4 lanes * 8.1 Gbps per).

I have the same problem. I own GTX 1080 and also can’t set the resolution to 3840x2160 @ 98 Hz whit 10 bit full RGB or 3840x2160 @ 120 Hz whit 8 bit and full RGB (only 8 bit 422 is available in NVIDIA control panel). I try to reinstall the Nvidia driver using DDU but this was not the problem. Theoretical is supposed to be able to set the resolution to 3840x2160 @ 120 Hz 8 bit. My old ACER monitor was no problem achieving this. It’s very strange. Anyone know why we can’t set this settings?
