This update is very very nice.
On my side everything is working except that the monitor shows 8 bit at 138Hz even when windows is showing 10 bit.
But those blackscreens, wake up issues/speed and most importantly the HDR performance was fixed in this firmware update.
A little sad that it took nearly 8 months but at least its working now!

Working great now! Took longer than it should have, but HDR is finally able to be used!

Very simple fix. Use DP cable. Its hands down better for PCs. Also, the manual states that VRR (G-sync) does not work when you overclock to 138hz on an HDMI 2.1 cable, VRR only works on DP at 138hz. Although you can use HDMI 2.1 with VRR at 120hz if you're willing to have a bit of screen tearing in gaming for that "better color depth" people claim comes with HDMI2.1 over DP1.4a since it doesn't need DSC (Which I believe is not even true. DSC is visually lossless, and DP has so many more benefits on a PC when compared to HDMI, its just better, regardless of HDMI 2.1 having higher bandwidth). Even Linus Sebastian uses it on his PG42UQ as shown in the video where he sets it up. Heres a screen shot from the manual.
