Hi, trying to replace my separate USB Switch with the built-in KVM of my brand new, nice PG32UCDP.
One computer is connected via Displayport, using the USB-B connection, the other computer is solely connected via USB-C (display and keyboard/mouse). This generally works. However, if:
- the USB-B computer is turned on, the USB-C computer is turned off
- I switch off the monitor & wait 10 secs, until the monitor has "powered down" keyboard and mouse (LEDs go off); and then
- I turn on the monitor again
mouse and keyboard are not working.
Reason appears to be the monitor does not choose the KVM port as per the display port chosen, but defaults to USB-C. I can fix this by setting, on the monitor:
- System Setup -> USB Setup -> KVM from "Auto KVM Detection" (my default) to USB-C
- then to USB-B (computer notices connection of keyboard and mouse)
- then again to my default ("Auto KVM Detection").
Any way to get the monitor, when powered on, to choose the KVM port based on the display port that is currently on/sending a signal?
Thanks.
