PG32UCDP HDR Highlights Blown Out

I’ve been messing with the HDR settings on the monitor and windows but no matter what I do it always seems to get blown out in the highlights in games and videos.

Do you have RTX HDR enabled? I've noticed recently that this seems to have some strange priority issues for me which can cause blowout / highlighting issues.

TLDR; I’m dumb

I didn’t realize that you need to calibrate each HDR profile on the monitor in windows. I was calibrating one profile, then changing between the monitor profiles only to get frustrated and calibrating another then finding more problems with the previous one until it all clicked. Once I calibrated 4 separate profiles in windows everything looked great. Hoping this post at least helps someone someday in the future. 😅
