Hi,
I'm using an ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM 4K 240Hz via HDMI 2.1 and an ASUS PB287Q 4K 60Hz via DP 1.2 at the same time.
My problem is that one of the screens randomly starts to black out (Black screen). I couldn't figure out a reason why they are starting to black out. It happened to both monitors already but mostly to the PB287Q.
When it happens ...
- ... it only affects one of the two monitors at the same time.
- ... it's either a reproducable black screen for around 3 seconds which is triggered by either 1. moving the mouse or 2. minimizing/maximizing/opening a program.
Or it happens randomly for around 1 second once every few seconds/minutes - ... it stops when I turn the affected monitor off and on again.
My Specs
- ASUS GeForce RTX 5080 Prime OC
- The HDMI 2.1 cable which came with the PG32UCDM
- DP 1.2 cable for PB287Q which only supports up to DP 1.2
- Latest BIOS
- Latest Windows 11 Updates
- New NVIDIA Driver 576.80
- Latest Firmware for PG32UCDM (Version: MCM108)
- MSI MPG Z890 Edge Ti WiFi
- Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF
- 2x32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6400MHz CL32
What I tried so far
- Reducing the Framerate of the PG32UCDM down to 120Hz didn't help.
- Swapping out the displayport cable of the PB287Q didn't help
