PG32UCDM does not save image settings

For some reason, this monitor never remembers/saves detailed "Image" settings.

For example: I choose "Image Setting -> HDR Format -> DolbyVision" from the OSD and then pick "DolbyVision Setting -> DolbyVision Gaming." It stays that way only as long as I do not restart my PC or change the "Input Select" (for example from DisplayPort to USB-C or HDMI). Otherwise it always defaults back to "DolbyVision Bright."

Similarly, no "Gaming" options are saved. Here the monitor always reverts back to "GameVisual -> Racing Mode."

I was hopeful that today's MCM108 firmware might have fixed this, but the problem persists. So, what am I doing wrong?

On a related note, I always switch off the monitor when not in use (instead of using Standby), yet, the "Pixel Cleaning Reminder" which is set to "8 hours," regularly shows up after only 2-3 hours or seems to pop up very randomly. Is that expected behavior? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the timer (it was set to 8 hours by default).

I have already tried:

  • using "MyFavorite -> Customized Setting -> Setting 1/2" to save/load these options. But they don't ever save here either (even without a restart/input change)
  • resetting the monitor a couple of times
  • using the DisplayWidget, which does not show any DolbyVision options to begin with and most GameVisual options are not clickable (the only ones that react to a click are "RACING" and "AI Visual (Beta)"

Help would be greatly appreciated.
