Just checked: PG27 production starts now in May, so mid/late May/early June for first markets depending on how it's being shipped.

Not sure X series yet. It's often mostly waiting for mass-production of panel availability and/or mass production to meet a certain quality standard.

For the record: Monitors don't wait for graphics cards. They just launch on their own schedule.*

On this retailer site, the Acer Predator X27 is listed as to be shipped April 5th. Because ASUS usually release their version a little earlier than Acer/the other manufacturers, it is likely that the PG27UQ will be released (assuming that shipping date is correct) during March, this would also still stick to the Q1 2018 release window.

thank you turning on deep sleep worked. I had turned it off because every now and then I was having issues with 1 of my monitors. Running in Nvidia surround and when I would turn my system on sometimes 1 monitor wouldn’t wake out of sleep or even get a signal. I would have to unplug power to monitor and then plug back in and set up surround all over again

Strange you mentioned that because I used to have that problem with my previous BenQ monitor on the DisplayPort connection, i.e. it wouldn't wake up out of sleep and keeps saying there's no signal. I had to power it off and disconnect the DP cable, reconnect and power on to rectify it. Hmm. I never had this problem with the PG27UQ. Fans don't run after shut down. I can't remember whether I have DP deep sleep turned on. Will check tonight.

Check if the game supports HDR. If not, I turn it off in WIndows and benchmark and playing games works

btw I am seeing banding in colour gradient tests, is this expected? I also see banding in the blue skies while playing Assassin's Creed Origins in HDR mode.

Thanks.

I have another question for the experts here:

I thought this monitor only accepts a 10-bit input? I am able to select 12 bpc in NVIDIA control panel. When I view the Information on the monitor's OSD, it tells me the input is 12 bpc. Why is this?

Thanks.

just a setting for Nvidia GPU's monitor wont be able to display 12bit..it will max out at 10bit.
