You may have heard that Acer has announced that the launch of their equivalent has been delayed to Q1 2018 (http://wccftech.com/acer-predator-x27-gaming-monitor-delayed/). Will something similar happen to the PG27UQ?

Acer delaying is likely due to production issues with the panel, since they both use the same panel I would say your best bet is it will be delayed until 2018 q1
