On this retailer site, the Acer Predator X27 is listed as to be shipped April 5th. Because ASUS usually release their version a little earlier than Acer/the other manufacturers, it is likely that the PG27UQ will be released (assuming that shipping date is correct) during March, this would also still stick to the Q1 2018 release window.

Hi friends. I recently bought the monitor and while everything is ok by my standards , i am wondering if anyone else is bothered by the led grid array being visible in uniform colors and especially in HDR because of the increased brightness WHEN fald is active , regardless of it's speed. It is also visible in games in panning shots where fog , mist etc is present. I also wonder if it is visible in all PG27UQ's or in some it is there in lesser degree or not even at all . By my research it seems that many full array led tv's have this problem also , but one in particular Sony x900f with 48 zones doesn't have it . It can very well depend on the local dimming algorithm also . I am attaching two photos that illustrate the problem . Weird thing about the photos is , that when you press f11 to go full screen ( for example full screen solid dark grey image ) the grid disappears. That's why i am saying that it may very well have something to do with the local dimming algorithm and not so much about the panel itself. Maybe something that it can be fixed with an update ? If and ever asus releases one ......

It looks like this thread is dead and the technology in this monitor little outdated.

I own this monitor and trying to connect it to my XBOX SX and PS5. In XBOX SX I am able to get 1080P at 120HZ but i couldnt set it to 2k. Will this monitor support 2k at 120HZ?

Not with HDMI. You will need to use DP to use 120 Hz.

It supports the following refresh rates with HDMI:
24 Hz
30 Hz
60 Hz
135 Hz

Hi,

Sorry I don't know the answer to that because I have never used mine with those parameters before.

Logically that adaptor should work because it's Active, but hard to be sure without trying. If I were in your shoes I would try it because that will give you a 120 Hz DP output, which we know the monitor supports.

This monitor supports pretty much everything with a DP input so 120 Hz, HDR at 1080p should be fine. It only gets tricky when you use HDMI.

EDIT: I have just tried it on my PC via DP, 1080p HDR @ 120 Hz. It definitely works.
