Just checked: PG27 production starts now in May, so mid/late May/early June for first markets depending on how it's being shipped.

Not sure X series yet. It's often mostly waiting for mass-production of panel availability and/or mass production to meet a certain quality standard.

For the record: Monitors don't wait for graphics cards. They just launch on their own schedule.*

On this retailer site, the Acer Predator X27 is listed as to be shipped April 5th. Because ASUS usually release their version a little earlier than Acer/the other manufacturers, it is likely that the PG27UQ will be released (assuming that shipping date is correct) during March, this would also still stick to the Q1 2018 release window.

Went ahead and purchased the Acer X27. I couldn't take it anymore! I needed a new monitor, and I needed it now!! I'm tired of fuc*ing waiting!! The ASUS PG27UQ is so fuc*ing hard to find online! Amazon always says unavailable and has yet to be shipped and fulfilled by Amazon with prime!! I called Amazon and asked why hasn't the monitor being shipped by them vs a 3rd party, they don't even fuc*ing know. I called ASUS and they said it's up to Amazon to sell it. It makes no sense why ASUS isn't shipping a bulk of this monitor to retailers. Also, i preferred the old design of the PG27UQ 74783
I like what looks to be a rubber finish on the back of the monitor vs plastic.

Don't know if it's the latest firmware, but even if it's not, I don't care because I'm not going have 144hz mode enabled anyways. I'm fine with 120 Hz. Don't want reduced chroma in SDR mode.

You are right, don’t OC it, no meed, OC will decrease its life.
In addition, don’t accept single dead/stuck pixel for the price of it.*

I don’t know why monitor technology is very slow.

Seems like microLED TVs are rolling out next year. Fck! TV tech moves so fast. And to think that miniled monitor is not even near us yet.

Why did Linus say it's a true 10-bit panel and not 8-bit FRC? Has something changed?

He misses a lot of stuff in the review. Obviously his team didnt do much research before making his script. Also like almost all of Asus's stuff dont have the last letter of the model number on the box for some reason.

i was very disappointed with this review...

video looks great, cuts are good, of course...

but it really lacks of in-depth information...

TRUE 10 BIT is wrong!
no word on the needed firmwareupdate...
haloing-shot was done by daylight 😕

at least he explains the need for chroma-subsampling and its effect on gaming -
and gives a hint on the near future (32" version incoming!)

LTT's is bad for reviews, the channel is only good for entertainment and fun..nothing else. They barely reviewed the monitor lol. It took them 2 videos !!!
