Just checked: PG27 production starts now in May, so mid/late May/early June for first markets depending on how it's being shipped.

Not sure X series yet. It's often mostly waiting for mass-production of panel availability and/or mass production to meet a certain quality standard.

For the record: Monitors don't wait for graphics cards. They just launch on their own schedule.*

On this retailer site, the Acer Predator X27 is listed as to be shipped April 5th. Because ASUS usually release their version a little earlier than Acer/the other manufacturers, it is likely that the PG27UQ will be released (assuming that shipping date is correct) during March, this would also still stick to the Q1 2018 release window.

I only paid $1870 for mine so I'm laughing all the way to the bank my titan v cost more then this thing.

A titan V is more expensive than anything I can think of on the market, except enterprise components. 1870 isn't much of a discount. That's only 7.5% off loool. These monitors will be hitting 20% or more off eventually after the market is a bit more saturated.

Yes with OLED you dont have blooming
Yes oled TV is bigger
Yes oled have better Black (actually the Best)

But you dont have 4k/120hz, G sync. These 2 things makes me prefer it

And you forgot that oled have burn in problems. They are bad for gaming

I haven't heard of gamers complain about it. The burnin is mostly a problem on normal desktop usage (such as having the taskbar always there). I'm excited for microLED to come in the next 5-10 years. Not only does it have less problems, such as with burn ins, but has better contrast! Future needs to come faster.

Went ahead and purchased the Acer X27. I couldn't take it anymore! I needed a new monitor, and I needed it now!! I'm tired of fuc*ing waiting!! The ASUS PG27UQ is so fuc*ing hard to find online! Amazon always says unavailable and has yet to be shipped and fulfilled by Amazon with prime!! I called Amazon and asked why hasn't the monitor being shipped by them vs a 3rd party, they don't even fuc*ing know. I called ASUS and they said it's up to Amazon to sell it. It makes no sense why ASUS isn't shipping a bulk of this monitor to retailers. Also, i preferred the old design of the PG27UQ 74783
I like what looks to be a rubber finish on the back of the monitor vs plastic.
