Just checked: PG27 production starts now in May, so mid/late May/early June for first markets depending on how it's being shipped.

Not sure X series yet. It's often mostly waiting for mass-production of panel availability and/or mass production to meet a certain quality standard.

For the record: Monitors don't wait for graphics cards. They just launch on their own schedule.*

On this retailer site, the Acer Predator X27 is listed as to be shipped April 5th. Because ASUS usually release their version a little earlier than Acer/the other manufacturers, it is likely that the PG27UQ will be released (assuming that shipping date is correct) during March, this would also still stick to the Q1 2018 release window.

That was the Charizard from the Nintendo world store, not too hard to find on eBay.

For the record thou the haloing is there it is only noticeable in dark areas and it's not that bad at all, the one image I showed is going to make it look far worse then it really is in game it is barely noticeable over all. as far as the fan goes it is so quite even in game that I had to have all noise turned off in the room to even hear it and if my pc is on I can't hear it at all.

Thank you for sharing what you think. For reference, noisey fan is a QC problem then, instant RMA. Halo problem is very unnoticeable, good. What would you rate it out of 10?

damn that haloing from the fps counter. How the hell is the halo area that big when there are 384 zones?

That's not haloing lmao..they r ingame textures/windows..
ALso i got my monitor. Really impressed with both HDR and SDR quality with FALD. With normal backlightning it was literally a pg279q with much better reds and colors.

we just need hdr games and a single gpu under $1k and drive 4k 100+fps..

I'd rate mine 9/10. Cons for no rgb on the ROG halo and projection..plus the ROG RGB thin, its only on the left ?? wtf..make a strip and run it across the monitor..not just one side.

Another con is the Joystic is flimsy. My PG279Q joystick is waaaaay better. THe UQ Joystick is also too sensitive.

My fan make no noise.. can hear a very low noise if i put my ear against the back of the monitor which i wont be doingat all..

huh? That purple glowing area around the fps counter is definitely haloing. That area is supposed to remain pitch black.

U can see some bloom on load screen but not in menu and game..AND it only gets picked up by the camera. These were taken in a dark room. U cant see the bloomnon loading screen unless u turnoff ur lights and stick ur face against it.

i am also not sure what purple area ur talking about, is it the destiny one ? If it is those r just game textures..

I actually seem to be having a little issue with this Asus monitor. So the service/debug menu popped up on the left, and would do so with the menu joystick. I unplugged the monitor, and the OSD menu is back to normal, but I am having some issues.

When I shut the computer down, the monitor won't go to sleep, and the fan seems to be a bit elevated, like it's running some burn in mode or something. I tried reset in the OSD, but that didn't work, and tried unplugging it as well. The RGB lights stay on as well, even if the PC is off.

What can I do? How do I enter that service/debug menu? I have no idea how it popped up.

Use the factory default option in the menu, under system setup called all reset.

I did try that, but didn't fix the issue. Any idea if I have to go into the "Factory" menu or something like that, that's what popped up before.

oh nvm its the last image from the bottom.. Its his camera. You wont be able to pick it up. Camera overexpose this stuff.

Also I dont think this image is using FALD, its way too big. I this its using the normal backlighting showing IPS Glow.

If u look at my photo the halo is much smaller.
