Just checked: PG27 production starts now in May, so mid/late May/early June for first markets depending on how it's being shipped.
Not sure X series yet. It's often mostly waiting for mass-production of panel availability and/or mass production to meet a certain quality standard.
For the record: Monitors don't wait for graphics cards. They just launch on their own schedule.*

Best to ask your local store. If you have one that is a specialist in high performance or displays they are more likely to stock.
From ASUS' side we never want to limit a product availability. But sometimes there is a roll-out schedule if supply is limited and ultimately it's always up to our partners to decide whether to stock a product.

Hi guys,
Not sure if anyone else had this issue. Play a game as normal. PG27UQ power failed completely, can't power it back up.
Purchased a replacement power brick of the exact same spec, it arrived yesterday, tried it last night, no luck.
Plug power in, power light cuts out after 1-2 seconds then nothing.
Sending it back for a full replacement.

Getting so sick of waiting for the PG27UQ. What the hell delayed this monitor an ENTIRE YEAR? We were supposed to have it last year.

Just put a few facts here:
3440x1440 at 200fps requires more power than a single 1080Ti can deliver.
And everybody says SLI is dead. Game developers give up on SLI. Game engines like Unreal Engine 4 prohibit the utilization of SLI.
And GPUs are overpriced. Miners are richer.
And...nothing is exciting here. The monitor probably won't be released until a new generation of GPUs emerges on the market.
