PG27UQ - Fan always on, Is this a firmware issue?

Can anyone speak to this? Do others have the same issue?

The fan originally turned off sometime after the computer was shut down, but now it's on all the time.

Has anyone tried to take the monitor apart and replace the fan?


I've contact asus service, and they want me to mail the monitor to them (!). I'm asking if they have a nearby service center in southern California. Has anyone had issues with RMA/repair with rog monitors? They stated that if I send it in my original box, that I might not get the same box back.

Yes the fan is always on until you shutdown ur pc an dthen after 5-10 min it powers off the fan when the screen is cool enough i guess.
So its not a defective buu surely a new thing we most get use to listen to
