Hello,
After a few months of using this monitor, I've noticed some bothersome issues that I haven't been able to resolve:
In all tested games, with G-Sync enabled and V-Sync disabled, I experience tearing or stuttering in cases where there shouldn't be any.
The maximum FPS is set in the game options or in the NVidia control panel.
At a 240 Hz screen with FPS capped successively at 240, 239, 238, 237, 236 FPS, tearing is present. At 235 FPS and lower, tearing disappears. At a 144 Hz screen with FPS capped at 120, tearing is present on the lower part of the screen and stuttering is also present. The issue is somewhat reduced (though still visible) with FPS capped at 100.
I need to set the screen to 240 Hz to avoid these problems, and I don't believe this is normal. I would like to operate at a lower refresh rate for certain games, which this monitor should allow me to do without the mentioned problems.
Furthermore, when I activate HDR, there's a very pronounced and extensive bright halo around illuminated objects in dark images. It's quite bothersome, for instance, around the mouse pointer on a black screen. Is this normal or could it be due to a hardware issue with the monitor?
What are your thoughts on these issues?
Thanks
