Make Future Monitor Feature Suggestions Here!

Moderator
Hi all,

ASUS ROG is requesting our best suggestions for ROG product improvements. As a moderator I won’t have the ability to implement your suggestions but I will be picking some of the best to highlight for the ROG team so they know what matters to us, the community.

Some guidelines for this thread:
1) Keep it positive and constructive. In most of the forum I try to allow you all to express your thoughts freely (within reason). This thread has the express purpose of generating constructive suggestions so I will be moderating this thread and deleting posts that do not contribute to that goal.
2) Keep it concise and on topic. Some minor discussion regarding a specific suggestion is welcome but if you would like to have a longer conversation I ask you start an additional thread and link it in your post here. You can also request a moderator move your posts if you have need.
3) Try for realistic ideas that appeal broadly to gamers. A small improvement on an existing ROG product is much more likely to get chosen than an entirely new product that only matters to a small number of people.
4) Support your favorites! You don’t have to come up with a suggestion to help. If you see something you like, quote it and say so! More support for an idea improves its chances.

EDIT:
I’ve updated the titles for these feedback threads to reflect that this is primarily for *future* products. Sorry for the lack of clarity. While there is a chance some ideas could be implemented via software updates it’s most likely any suggestions would be rolled into new products.
Also, these threads are not for issue reporting and such posts won’t reach the right people. Please post issues in the ROG Care > Hardware & Software Support section. Or contact ASUS support via phone or email for immediate assistance.

Suggestion: For OLED monitors with a KVM hub (in my example the PG32UCDM), please let the audio throughput continue when the monitor is doing a pixel refresh! It's really frustrating when my monitor turns off and my audio is also cut on my other monitor. The rest of the USB hub input works, so why does the audio not work?

Please add a function that can maintain the device connection when the power is turned off even for monitors that do not have the g-sync module.

I am buying a new oled gaming monitor "today". I would love to purchase another Asus product, but sadly your monitors are still using HDMI 2.0 in 2024 models and that is a deal breaker. A proper HDMI 2.1 input can support higher bitrates than the DP 1.4 input, meaning more monitors can run at native resolution without DSC and/or lower refresh rate. Current gen consoles will also be able to use VRR.

DisplayPort 2.x input would also be nice, but at least 1.4 is better than HDMI 2.0.

Your products are lagging behind, several of your competitors are already delivering HDMI 2.1 in their competing products.

Option to disable Deep Sleep. Regulation compliance requires this to be enabled by default. But why is there not a toggle to disable this so that those of us with multi-monitor setups don't have to struggle with Windows getting confused every time the displays resume from sleep. With my current monitors this is bad enough that I have just disabled monitor sleep in Windows. But with oled this is not an option anymore. The next best thing is a black screensaver I guess. I am also 100% certain this is worse than providing an actual deep sleep toggle.

Bought a PG32UCDM last week. One of the features that pulled me to this monitor is the built-in KVM.
While this feature works kinda, it's not quite there yet.
What I'd like to do is have DP + USBC on one side and HDMI + USB-B on the otherside.
The Auto KVM Detection function doesn't seem to support this.
Switching from DP to HDMI does switch the mouse and keyboard to USBB, but switching back to DP doesn't also switch the mouse and keyboard back to USBC.

I think the Auto KVM Detection function needs to be further enhanced to support more setups, or please have it remember the last USB setting per input when this function is disabled.
Remembering the last setting would only require us to only once select the USB, and would basically support all different setups.
E.G. a combination of HDMI1 + USBB on one side and HDMI2 + USBC on the other.

The reason btw for wanting to use displayport is because my macbook only does 60Hz via USBC while it does 100Hz via DP.

Latest firmware MCM108 fixes my KVM issues.

Wonderful job @asus. Thanks!

Could you please fix the various gamma / graphical issues on PG32UCDP? It's a flagship monitor, please support it!

As described at https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/rog-series-monitors-pg-xg/pg32udcp-gamma-kink-black-crush-lower-gray-s....

We need a 27" monitor with DisplayPort 2.1, 4K at 240Hz, and a dual mode option for 1080p at 480Hz.

Just got the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM, but debating whether to return it for this reason.

Not sure if it has been suggested but some sort of shifting ambient backlight ilumination that would react to your gameplay, movies and all of that.

I know, its more like a nice to have than a real feature but hey, I would like to see that.

One feature that I would love to see added in future firmware updates if possible for monitors (I currently have PG32UCDP) is being able to use the sniper zoom in feature without the sniper dot and just the zoom.

Currently, the PG32UCDP allows to choose between a green or blue dot with 1.2, 1.5, and 2.0 zooms. It would be really nice to change one of the dot colors to no color and just zoom. This way the in-game dot is the only one shown.
