Flickering can be caused by G-sync.

Does it flicker when G-Sync is turned off and/or have you installed this WIndows Update yet? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4048955/windows-10-update-kb4048955

This fixed most of my G-Sync issues if this doesn't do anything then I'd suggest to get a replacement.

Are you physically using the power button to turn it off?
Cold brick syndrome. Ive never been one to turn them off. They go into standby when I shut down and come right back up no worries when I start back up.
