Burn-in ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM

Hi everyone! I dont know if this problem has been discused before but I’m desperate over it. This burn in mark appeared in my ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM after two years of light use (2 hours a day at most), with low brightness and performing regular pixel cleaning. Eventually, this mark disappeared, I don't know exactly how, but after a standard pixel cleaning, it reappeared. I've tried everything: resetting the monitor settings, cleaning the pixels again by switching to the background, changing HDMI and cabling, letting the monitor rest with power on and off, and nothing. I need help! Thanks 🙂

Hi @alfax92

Persist with the cleaning routine. It looks like image retention.

Hello alfax92

I'll ask if you've installed the monitor driver, if yes, then all good.

Have you tried updating the firmware?

MCM110 is the latest.

Sure, let us know how it goes.

Be sure to connect the USB-A to USB-B cable to your monitor and pc when doing updates.

Ok,

Try doing the update with the USB flash drive method.

In your downloads, the instructions are in the PDF file below the disc image file.

How does this go?

It does not progress. I contacted also the support service here in Spain and they’re checking also! Thank you.

Ok,

In the meantime, you could try the USB-B cable in a different usb port on your pc.

Hi! After dozens and dozens of repeated pixel cleanings over several days, I've seen a noticeable improvement in the image. Although it still seems to be a bit lingering, it's much better than it was at the beginning. I wasn't able to update the firmware at any point, but I'll keep investigating. Thank you very much for your advice.
PS: I was offered a replacement monitor through ASUS Spain technical service, but I think that if things continue like this, I will not proceed with the change.
