So, I got myself a Asus ROG Swift PG278Q. It was bought from a friend. The screen was purchased originally 9 January 2015 and started giving issues in December 2015 after only 3 months in my possession.
2/3's of the screen from the right side have blurry text and does the same thing on 3 computers. Resetting it does not fix anything.
I have returned the screen to the store and supplier in December 2015 and received a verdict on Monday 18 January 2016 that the screen is indeed faulty.
The store accredited me for the full value of the screen because there is no stock available in South Africa. I have not considered using the store credits yet as i really would like to get my screen RMA'ed. 😞
Surely for a screen of this quality, value and brand an international RMA should be possible!? What is the chances of get a less-than-one-yearold faulty screen RMA'ed directly with ASUS from South Africa?
I also own a Asus GTX980 Strix GFX card and rate Asus ROG products among highest of quality. This would be disappointing if no support will be given for this product either just because of location.
Surely support for a premium priced product should be highest of importance?
Any ideas how to go about this?
I have logged a ticket with the Asus for this already and waiting on a response.
