i tried to OC my monitor to 165hz and my Nvidia control panel does not give me the option to select it and I have a 980 TI GPU. Any suggestions?

I gave the wrong model number I have the PG279Q.

have you changed the monitor's setting to 165Hz? and what cable are you using to connect the GPU to the monitor?

What cable (needs to be display port)
Make sure you set the monitor to 165 OC mode in the UI menu
And then reboot your PC and check the Nvidia control panel and set the monitor refresh to 165hz

If you still don't have anything then maybe you missing the correct driver for it.

Update Nvidia drivers and Make sure you got the updated Monitor driver and it shows up as the correct monitor in device manager.
