Hello,
so first of all I need to say that I've been using asus rog brand products from motherboards, to gpus to monitors for almost two decades now, ever since its inception somewhere in 2006 or 2005 I cant remember precisely.
I've had no issues with neither of them up to this point, apart from this monitor.
I bought it in 2019 for almost 3000 euros and have had nothing but problems with it. I had to send to it to rma three times, the first two times it was repaired, although it was quite costly, but this was due to my own fault as the screen was cracked, but I paid almost 1600 euro for the repair, this was in 2021. The other one was a broken off joystick nipple, it was another paid repair, but this time it only cost about 10 euro, the handling and shipping was 50 more euro, lmao.
But this year, somewhere at the start of summer months I started to notice that my monitor was behaving strangelyt, I begin to see these weird vertical lines on top right side of the monitor and this weird artifacting and flashing all on the right side of the monitor, more specifically on the upper right side. I thought to myself, oh noe, the monitors panel is going bad and what do you know after almost two weeks of these issues the moniotor stopped working, I was watching football and all of a sudden the monitor flashed bright white, I was t hese various vertical lines artifacting all over the screen and the monitor was basically dead.
So I contacted ASUS support, arrangaed a RMA and send it to them, But after a two days I recieved this message that not only is the warranty gone, but I need to pay almost 2200 euro for the panel to get repaired and fixed. That is waaaaay out of my budget and I simply declined. Then I was going back and forth with the asus support via email that its incredibly steep and if they are willing to repair it for free this time, as it was already repaired three years ago there, I thought the repaired screen had some kind of extended warranty to it, but I was wrong.
I have no idea if Iam the most unlucky customer in the world as I've already spent 3000 euro on the new monitor, then over 1600 on the first rma and 70 on the second one and now I had to pay almost 2200 euro more in order to get the blown out panel fixed.
So my question is, is there some possible sollution to get this monitor fixed, if at all for free, as an almost excklusive loyal customer of the brand ?
thank you
Thank You
