ASUS PG27VQ CHANGE COLORS WHEN NO SIGNAl. CANT OVERCLOCK TO 165 Hz

Hello. Yesterday, i launched my pc and saw a strange behavior with the monitor. Firstly, i thought that there was a problem with my pc. But when i turned off the computer, the monitor continued to cycle colors very fast (red, green, blue, white ect.). I plugged it to my ps4, and what i saw? It again continued to do this. Now, every time when i am starting my pc the monitor sets ALL settings to default. You can saw it in the video. He always invites me to turn on "Aura light in motion". When i want to apply max refresh rate 165 hz in OSD of monitor, it restarts and nothing changes. It anew invites me to turn on "Aura light in motion". This is an obvious problem with monitor software. I have allready found the same problems on asus rog forum, and i came to conclusion that i need special buttons combination on the monitor so i can turn off Debug mode. I need to get to the menu like on picture. I think that the monitor launched "Burn in patterns" with itself. "All reset" doesn't help. Every time when monitor loses signal(shut down pc, sleep mode, cable doesn't plugged) it starts to change colors (red, green, blue, white). Mine just up and nowhere just started doing this yesterday and I haven't been able to fix it. My monitor is just now a year old.

Edit: Just kidding, I've only had it since March 2018. Still messing up.

so I've already phoned asus, emails written, here written, with the dealer written, with the dealer phoned

nobody could give me a solution ... and to the question how to get into this manufacturer menu nobody wanted to say anything ...

it will probably be so that i will make a rma (about 40 days is my device now old) and some used device will get ... (so it was also with my old monitor)

Customer service at Asus is ridiculous

I say so ... 800€ for the garbage

Apologies for the delay with this. Our monitor team has identified this as a manufacturing fault. Please contact your local ASUS service to arrange an RMA.

hello is there any solution about this ? other than RMA ? because i bought this monitor from other country . and this problem have pop suddenly after i used this monitor for 2 year. and i was in part of south east asia that RMA wont work , unless still Warranty buy in same country .

Any update on this? I got exactly same issue. This is going to be my 2nd RMA if ever I will send it to asus.

I just got this issue I can't solve it yet. does anyone got a solution?

Factory mode: "Follow this when display is ON and input connected ; 1. GamePlus button twice. 2. UP D-Pad button twice. 3. X button twice."
works for me fine 😃

I have the same issue, i managed to get in to factory menu mode and deselected burn in pattern and factory menu but once i press x button to get out the menu burn in pattern is off but factory menu is still on and i cant overclock to 165hz, this is just weird. Is there a special way of getting out of that menu?

I have this problem right now and have already had my monitor RMA'd 3 times now and the problem keeps coming back. I'm over having to send it back over and over again. Not only that but I have thin line from the bottom half of the screen that occasionally flickers and ASUS support hasn't really done much to help, only the bare minimum and it's super frustrating. Never buying an ASUS monitor again!

Same exact problem. I sent my brand new monitor with RMA and received a refurbished one with broken crystals. At the end of the day, after 5 months of RMA (I did 4) I have a refurbished monitor and the same problem I had on my new monitor. I could keep sending in RMAs, but I was sick of being made fun of by ASUS's scandalous assistance. 900 euros thrown in the toilet.
If anyone finds the solution, please write it down here. Thanks.
