ASUS PG278Q has a defective Power brick

My PG278Q started to not turn on when I turned on my PC. So I looked into the problem and found that I was not the only one with this problem.

It seems that this problem is a manufacturing defect known by ASUS and ASUS should be replacing these power bricks for free.

If you also have this same problem I'd like to hear from you as I'd like to know the extent of this problem.

ASUS Australia's solution was for me to send my whole monitor in at a cost of more than the replacement power brick.

I will no longer be buying ASUS and will be advising my customers and friends to do likewise.

A $50 part will cost them thousands if not 10s of thousands in lost sales

you can get a cheap delta electronics brick or one off ebay i've got one in the EU for 50euro of amazon.

I ended up buying an original power brick in new condition off eBay Australia for $53 AUD delivered.
