Year-old G750 nVidia Graphics disappeared from Device Manager

I have a G750 and I bought it 1 year ago.

Yesterday, the laptop died suddenly and I was unable to start it again. The power light remained on but everything else was off.
I had to plug out the battery and remove the power cable. After I started it again, the fans started turning at MAX speed even before WINDOWS started and I am unable to control the speed of the fans.

Then, a few hours later, I discovered that my nVidia Graphics was no longer available. I could only run on Intel HD.
It does not even show up in Device Manager. Clicking on the nVidia Control Panel doesn't work too.

Attached screenshot. Could it be the graphics card is faulty?
Any suggestions please help. Thank you.
