Would you still recommend a G751?

So I want a G751 mainly for its cooling, quiet fans, power, and removal of Nvidia Optimus (biggest reason). I currently have a G750.
I have seen countless problems reported, so would you still recommend a G751 laptop?

I also hesitated because of the comments I found on internet. And the only thing I can confirm of these comments is that it is heavy, otherwise I didn't find any other problems. Best laptop till now!

I think it's a good laptop but has some problems that shouldve been ironed out before it was released. It takes some tweaking to get running properly.

I was torn between the MSI equivalent and the ASUS I bought. Unless ASUS gets it in gear my next laptop, which I'll buy when the new ones come out again in 2016?, will quite possibly be an MSI.

If you get a G751JY pay attention to your return period and exchange period. Watch out for backlight bleeding. Didn't realize how bad my previous G751JY backlight bleed was until I replaced it. Great monitor. Other comparable competitor laptops may shine in some areas, but those are very likely TN monitors. STAY-THE-HELL-AWAY-FROM-TN !!!

Personally all my issues have been fixed with the bios and driver update (left side USB and sound). Love the beast.

My wife and I bought 2 G751JY for semi portable gaming. We were going to pick up the GR8 but decided to spend more for the extra horsepower and cooling of the G751as well as get a great built in monitor. We bought these about 3 weeks ago and are quite happy. Our games run great and we haven't had any problems. Maybe if these machines were our full time main rigs we might see issues pop up. But as of now we love the laptops.

Except for the light bleeding I'm very happy with it.
If you're patient and have the time to switch your unit when it has light bleeding go ahead,
but be warned I exchanged my laptop 3 times and still have light bleeding, even RMA'ed the last one but it didn't help.

The screen is really cheap ( i think it was 60 dollar) so except average quality (there is some glowing going on aswell)
