Windows 7 instead of Windows 8 on G75VW

Should I get a copy of windows 7 to use instead of windows 8 on my G75VW. I have heard there are advantages to using windows 7.

I switched from Windows 8 to Windows 7 last night on my G46VW 😄 do it.

Actually, old people (such as myself) are usually more set in their ways and more unwilling to adapt to new things than young "whippersnappers" (such as yourself), LOL... 😉

Well not all of us old guys are stubborn and not wanting to try new things!! However Windows 8 sucks as released, requiring aftermarket software just to operate in a productive manner, some software we use will not run on it. I did try it out for 3 full weeks, I did have it booting straight to the desktop, and I did put Win 7 back on. We have left win 8 on my Wife's All in one touch screen. She's an old person too. After 6 months she still isn't using the touch screen much. I have download the cheap Win 8 Pro for all our computers. I will check it out again after the release of SP 1 if they put the start screen back as at least an option.

Windows 8 is great and loads much faster and uses less computer resource than windows 7. If you hate the UI it comes with, just installed Classic shell as it overrides the default windows 8 UI.
