Will the new intel Optane SSD 900P work in my G751JT MOBO??

Hello,

I have a G751JT and has anyone tried using the new Intel Optane SSD 900P ?

The SSD is only supposed to work on the latest i7 processors but
wanted to double check.

No these appear to be built for the PCI Bus on desk top motherboards, rather than the M.2 form used by Asus in our gaming notebooks, more information here on the intel website

This one on the 2.5" format may work but I don't see how they can get those kinds of specs on a SATA controller which is what we have in our gaming notebooks from the 2.5" slot.

I'm in the Market for a new SSD for this Used/new G751JT I purchased so wanted to make sure before I upgraded my SSD. Yes i can go buy an Samsung 850 pro Or Evo but i dont work that way. Maybe the Specs are "Up to" and not actual Running Specs. More less wondering if my laptop can fully utilize the performance that these
Optane SSD's are putting out.
