Why cant we upgrade the GPU?

OK everytime I see them Customzing the G73's like on XoticPC...you can upgrade pretty much everything except for the GPU...
Ive been loking at pic's of Dissasembled G73 and it ooks like a standard NoteBook Card type GPU that you just unplug?

So as long as its the same Voltage and wattage requirements ts should be good to go right?

Well to be fair its not just ASUS, MSI does the same...HP and others gets theirs on 3rd parties...Alienware keeps thier reference the same for all current boards bet every ear a new GPU comes out they change t anyway so that still limits you like ASUS or MSI...But at least ASUS MSI are cheaper compared to Alienware's premium price...
