who removed the numlock and replaced it with the calculator button G74?

To this day I am still finding it a huge pain in the ass to not have a proper num pad button or for that matter buttons that register as numpad numerical buttons.
Trying to play a game and once again the lack of a numpad creates problems for me.

I see the asus g75 has a normal keyboard.
Oh whats that? just use a USB keyboard?
And where would I put that? I do most of my gaming in my room while being up north in a oil sands camp and there is not enough desk space for a keyboard and my laptop, hence why I bought a god damn lap top.

Look at the rage this asstard has instilled in your customers.

After all we all need a calculator quick launch button so we can do basic math in the middle of playing a game.

It's unfair that JonJonPoPong was banned - there isn't a single word that's in any way an insult to the asshole that designed the G74 with this feature. In fact, he put it rather politely. The English language is simply inadequate to describe the kind of ruthless torture that person deserves. This person also lost future sales at my company with Asus, so Asus guys - thank him.

JonJonPoPong: for the short while I had the G74 (eventually shipped all back for refund), Numlocker worked, although it's somewhat inconvenient to use. Using an external keyboard is no solution, because Numlock is simply ignored by the driver/BIOS.

I believe the offending text has been excised from the post by the mods, for the benefit of all...

xxbbcc - Welcome Back to ROG. [ Good thing the Mod'z didnt delete your account as you asked .. ]
Please stop flaming Asus because your IT guy/girl bought 10 G74's for a company that needed a NumLock not a Gaming computer.
Secondly. G75 Answers those issues and then some.
After your IT guy/girl recovers from his/her 'ruthless torture' for as you say being a body part, ask him/her to take a look at the New G's.
and as a reminder .. slang associated to race, body parts or sexual orientation is prohibited for the little ROG'r'z among us.

Other owner/members here took the opportunity of owning their G74 to become part of the solution known to us as G75/G55.
Thank You for sticking around.c.

chrsplmr, I decided to reply to you, although I really don't plan on "sticking around". I'm only checking these forums every once in a while because I have the misfortune of owning a G53 which I can't return anymore.

You may consider this flaming and that's fine, you're entitled to your opinion. The way I see it is that if a person in 2012 designs a high-end, high-performance computer (notice I didn't use the phrase gaming computer), that person doesn't deserve to live on this planet and use up resources from the rest of us.

The support Asus provides on these - supposedly high-quality, but in reality shoddy - computers is appalling and insulting. It's equivalent of spitting in my face which I will not forget and forgive in the future. I know other professionals who feel the same.

You accuse me of flaming because our IT people bought a computer in 2012 that has 8 (virtual) cores, 16 GB of memory and we expected that it has a working keyboard! What unusual demands from a customer who paid almost $15,000 for those machines! Unbelievable what people nowadays want for their money!

Now, as you say, the G75 fixes all those issues - let me know if Asus is willing to send me one of those for free so that I can try it. I sure won't pay for it, since I now experienced what quality means at Asus through a G53 and G74. It's not my cup of tea.

I'm checking internally what we can do and will let you know.

However, the viciousness of these requests is completely uncalled for. Please control yourself xxbbcc.
