Hello,
This is kind of a noob question, but hey this is my first laptop.
So I have a G46VW and it has a non removable battery and since right now I'm not in the US replacing it can be a pain. So I want to be keep it safe and working for a long time. Well, we all know gaming without plugging it in is impossible, so consider the fact that the laptop to be plugged in most of the time, before answering the question.
The question is what is good for the battery? Do I keep it plugged in all the time? Do I charge it fully then run it on battery till its battery runs low and keep doing this cycle?
I've googled the topic and so far hasn't got anything solid. I have found that discharge cycles are not recommended for Li-ion batteries, and that plugging it in all the time is infact good. Is this true?
Also a more technical question, when a laptop is fully charged and plugged in, does it directly run from the supply while keeping the battery on the background or does the battery still remain invovled in the circuit?
Thanks.
