I just came of a clean install of Windows 8 - Pro on my G76VW-BBK5 and this time everything is running really well. So I decided I wanted to to play an older game but the drive will not read the disk?
I have installed games older than this with no problem, Call of Duty 1 and CoD:UO, work fine. This problem is with the drive reading Call of Duty 2, (not black ops 2). I insert the disk, is spins and the lists flash but nothing happens. The disk works in Windows 8 because I just tested it in my Gateway laptop and it has no problems.
I have not encountered this problem with another disk before. I tried restarting three times and still no luck. This game is in DVD format and other DVDs work fine? The game has two DVDs and this happens with both.
Any ideas?
