Ways To Reduce Fingerprints On G550JK?

Hello All!

I just purchased a ROG ROG G550JK-DS71 from Newegg.com. I am excited about getting this laptop but I have one concern.

I have read on several review sites that the black finish of the G550 is very fingerprint prone and I am picky about fingerprints. 🙂

So I was wondering, can anyone recommend a way to decrease fingerprints? Perhaps some kind of 3rd party "skin" or "sticker"? Or some other treatment I can put on the laptop?

Thank you.

1) Wash your hands after eating finger foods before using your lappy
2) use a bi-monthly lcd screen spray to also clean your keyboard
3) there are "stickers" (some call it laptop skins) that are made for the G750. They go where the palm rests.

Good suggestions!!! 🙂

I keep Air Cans, Screen Wipes, Electronic Wipes, and Microfiber Cloths right next to all my computers! I told you I was obsessed! 🙂

Do you know who sells these skins? I searched and found several websites that sell skins but none of them had one for the G500.

cookmv, I keep my hands off the G750, by using an external wireless keyboard/trackpad that is large enough to work for touch typing, but small enough to fit in the backpack for use on the road. I also keep the original white cloth covering the keyboard/top in place to keep away dust.

There are lots of choices out there, but after trying a half dozen, I have settled on this one:

Logitech K400

I got mine on sale at BestBuy for $25.

Logitech K830 - looks great, larger, slippery, weighs a *ton* in comparison to the K400 - kept sliding off the couch - returned it.

As for the outside of the laptop, I make sure my hands are clean when picking it up, and only occasionally wipe it with a screen cloth like these:

Antec Advance 3x Strength Wipes - 100 pack has lasted almost a year.
