Using Intel XTU with 4700HQ

so far I only changed the turboboost values by +1 : 35,34,33,33

did not touch voltage.

no problem. it's stable. cinebench 15 gives 73 °C max ; XTU stress test 5 mn gives max 71° C

is it safe to go higher ?

and what about the "cache ratio" ? is it important ?

As far as safe to go higher? The key is to not touch the voltages, then you really would be hard-pressed to do more than crash your computer. I would recommend going slowly, and watching the temps, because those can increase. Good luck with the OC'ing! 🙂 Sorry I don't know about the cache ratio. 😞

I have maxed out the frequency as XTU allows, 36,35,34,34, I didn't offset the voltage so it automatically tunes up a little bit, before overclocked it was 1.000v - 1.020v, after overclocked it is 1.040v. the cpu temp is up 1c on average I guess, everything is stable. I don't know if XTU would allow for higher than 3.6ghz if you tune up the voltage which I haven't tried yet.
