Just a quick question, Is the 3.0 on the jw backwards compatible?

let's hope it is are it's a dead port on this machine for me..

The 3.0 port is backward compatible, and is a totally separate entity from the onboard USB 2.0 ports. It uses it's own drivers as well.

Chastity thank you for the info. Also is there that many problems as I read with the usb ports on the jw series..Since I'm a dj I need all the ports to stay acctive all the time and not fail..

Nah. Noone ever said you need to just use the 3.0 port. If you have a device that doesn't like the port w/ whatever current driver you are using, use one of the standard USB 2.0 ports.

I was refering to the rest of the 2.0 port..

Only issues I've heard of is sometimes if a device is in the 3.0 port, it may lockout the 2.0 ports, but I believe that was addressed in the 3.0 updated drivers. Needless to say if you have such an issue, don't use the 3.0 port 😉 If you have any 2.0 issues, just update your Intel INF installation.
