Upgrading to Windows 8 on a G53 SX driver probelm

Hi there , first of all really cool to see a forum for these products , second of all i hope you can help me with this issue .

I have installed Windows 8 on my Laptop (G53 SX) and i lost my CD with all the drivers within it ... However i was wondering how can i get these drivers as one package ? and are they compatible with the windows 8 platform ? , i lost the ability to use the keys
FN with the special features (Lighting the keyboard and sound etc ...) , would really help me if you can give me a response to these issues , thanks in advance :):cool:

i guess most drivers directly from manufacturers should work for you (i.e. intel, nvidia, touchpad, sound). the only problems is the ATK package from ASUS.

maybe you can download and try the w7 drivers. do the installation by disabling Driver Signature Enforcement.

i'm just guessing; no guarantee.

Hey i did download the ATK package after disabling the driver thingy .... It works well except for the ability to use the "Boost button " and the color temperature ... do you think i need download another thing ?

looking at your driver list, the only thing that has a boost word in the file name is The Turbo Boost Monitor application. so you might wanna give it a try.

sorry i am really not familiar with g53sx. i have no clue what you mean by the Boost button actually.

ASUS have not provide Win 8 driver for G53SX, so all the driver you will find them from vander by youself, ASUS not guarantee it all driver are able to use, but you can try it, about utility i think you can download other model that have provide Win 8, also can be try G53SX utility from ASUS support site.
