Upgrading RAM on g73SW recommendations?

looking to upgrade my memory on my laptop. Thinking about doubling it to 16gb. Not sure whether to do two 8gb sticks in two slots or four 4gb sticks in all 4 slots.

Recommendations on what route to take? Also brand and speed of sticks?

i think your laptop is 4 DIMM slot, you can buy same type same speed DIMM.

according to Asus, if you have an i5 you can only install 8gb of ram. i7 - 16gb.
