Anyone know if G74SX supports the SSD Samsung 840 Evo SSD Series 1TB SATA3 without problems?

Yes it does, or should. As I just installed a Samsung 840 Evo to my G73JH as the factory hdd failed this week.

Almost certainly. Just put in an SSD into my G74SX as a second drive. It's a Crucial BX100 1TB. Now I just need to find my restore disks.
