Upgrade G551JW SSD Disk !

Hi

i saw some pictures in google showing the SSD hardisk inside this model ,So i decided to upgrade it to 256GB instead of 22GB .

What kind of SSD hardisk is that exactly because it looks like its integrated with motherboard --" .

Any ideas ?

Mini mSATA SSD. I don't think it's user accessible, you'd have to open up the keyboard plate to get to it, if I recall correctly. It doesn't seem hard at all, but it probably voids your warranty if there's any telltale signs you've been in there.

Also another question , What about HDD dardisk ??? can i replace it by 2TB Capacity or still doesn't fit ?

That's a full size SSD, it won't fit, you need a half-size mini mSATA drive, they go up to 256GB max currently.

Those harddrives won't fit, either. They're massive 3.5 inch desktop harddrives... you need a 2.5 inch laptop drive.

You can add ssd to standart disk place, and standart hdd you can put to optical bay with hdd caddy. But this hdd will always spin, never sleep. Like my.

MyDigitalSSD are pretty much the only company that makes a decent version of these, yeah. Probably your best bet, there are some others but these ones are quite popular.
